Bordeaux, France (Wine Country)

These guys were awesome. They did tricks with the wine barrels. They even had little kids doing it.

Here I am trying to soak in all the aromas.
Look at lunch. Very fresh.
The French version of Drumline at the festival.
Getting educated at the "School of Wine."
A view of the entire wine festival. It was over a mile long.
A solo shot on top of the boardwalk.
No words, just had to throw this in...

USA - Algeria Game (It was a riot...literally.)

Apparently there is a huge Algerian population in France. After the US - Algeria game an angry mob stormed our American dorm. They used tear gas on them twice, beat them with clubs and hauled them all off in huge buses. It was insane.
Check out the French SWAT keeping the peace.
A view outside of our dorms.
A view outside our gate at the dorm.
We walked right into them on our way home from the game. They weren't happy.
I had to take a photo with the angry mob in the background.

The Georgia Tech guys celebrating the US win over Algeria at the Great Canadian Pub near Notre Dame. One of the most exciting games I've ever watched.

Berlin, Germany

The TV Tower, the largest building in Berlin.
The Holocaust Museum.
Democracy to my right, Communism to my left. (20 years ago)
The Berlin Wall. It is mostly torn down now with just a few hundred meters serving as a monument of sorts.

They put down cobblestones where the wall once stood.

This is Checkpoint Charlie, it was given this name by the Western Allies, and was the best-known Berlin Wall crossing point between East Germany and West Germany during the Cold War.

"You probably heard we ain't in the prisoner taking business, we're in the killing Nazi business and cousin business is a boomin'." --Lieutenant Aldo Raine, Inglorious Basterds

I think pictured this guy saying that, haha.

The entrance to the Berlin Zoo, I think it is the largest in Europe.

The President's mansion in Germany. Apparently he recently resigned.

The "House of World Cultures," a famous art museum.

The Hauptbaghnof Train Station. This huge station was recently built for over 1 Billion Euro!
The Brandenburger Tor, a former city gate and one of the main symbols of Berlin and Europe.

A famous statute of Frederick the Great, a former Prussian ruler.

We saw a huge festival/parade going on in the famous Tiergarten. Little did we know it was one of the largest gay parades in the world, St. Christopher Street Day. Let's just saw it was weird.

Reichstag, the parliament of the German empire.

This is a photo of the "Pyrofessor" a.k.a. crazy drunk guy with fire and torches.

Ended the trip watching the World Cup at a place with a little American flair. A delightfully tacky flair to be exact...

Munich, Germany

The Georgia Tech crew at the beer gardens.

The clock tower at the City Center of Munich.

The famous wiener schnitzel...
This was my lunch, sausage and potatoes (a very popular choice in Munich.)
This is the Munich City Center.

This is the famous Hofbrauhaus, the oldest beer hall in the world.

One of their famous 1 liter mugs (you get to take it home with you.)

Here is a picture of the band that was playing while we were in the beer hall.

This is a picture of the river in the English Beer Garden. It has a strong current in it so you can just float down it, pretty cool...

Here is a pic of some people surfing the current in the river. They were awesome! I also took videos, too bad my internet doesn't work well here.

Watching the World Cup on the big screens of the beer gardens.

Apparently the cool thing to do in Munich for old guys is to walk around in their birthday suits. It looks like no one is impressed with the guy in the back's stretching moves.

Taking a plunge into the very cold moving river.

Amsterdam, Holland

Little known fact... Amsterdam has more canals than Venice.
The famous Amsterdam sign.
The Van Gogh Museum. A truly awesome place.
Rijksmuseum, another big museum in Amsterdam.
Mixing a brew at the "Heineken Experience."
A Heineken brew master explaining how the beer is made.
They are thinking about putting me on the label sometime so I modeled for it.
The outside of the brewery.
